Jesse's Metal Detector Page: Jesse Atencio is a good friend. He is also an excellent metal detectorist. His brand of choice is White's. His website is comprehensive and has something for everyone; Metal detecting, prospecting, hunting. He mines his own gold claim also.

Alaska Gold Forum: Over 1800 members strong, this forum is fast becoming one of the most read prospecting forums on the net. We have a world-wide readership, great pictures and excellent resources in the people who post and visit.

Alaska Mining and Diving Website: This is an Alaskan Site owned and maintained by Steve Herschbach. Steve is a professional metal detectorist, gold dredger, prospecting store owner and all around nice guy. There is a wealth of information about prospecting here.

Steve's Mining Journal: This is Steve's personal website. There is not a more comprehensive gold prospecting and metal detecting website on the net. Steve details his adventures, as well as giving real reviews on many different metal detectors.

Goldstream Publications: This is a website owned by Ron and Bonnie Wendt. Ron is a well known publisher and writer of Alaskan mining history. His website lists all the books he has published. Ron is also an accomplished gold prospector.

Alaska Gold Prospecting Forum: This is where gold prospectors from all over the world meet. 1800 Members strong, we are fast becoming one of the most read prospecting forums on the net. Come in and browse, we always like to meet new people. Discuss all forms of gold prospecting.

Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game: Some very good information on this site. Here you can also obtain an online dredging permit. Simply download the application, fill it out, and then submit it by email. They have a very good response time.

Alaska Dept. of Natural Resources: You can now browse the status of mining claims, as well as use their interactive mapping program to locate claims. Lots of resources here.

Vern Cross...Alaska Mining Artist: Vernon Cross is an extremely talented artist. He specializes in paining nature and it's situations, with a special emphasis on Alaska mining situations. He is also an expert metal detectorist, and writer. He has been published in numerous publications.

Alaska Miners Association: This is the official website for the Alaska Miners Association. This association is the miners voice in Alaska for miners rights, legislation, and contacts.

Alaska Gold Mining Page: Ken Hinrichs has been a long time source of Alaska mining information. His website is well done and includes a message forum. This is a "must see" for the serious prospector. Definitely a great resource.

Alaska Mining Community Portal: Dennis Garret's website is a very popular gold prospecting site. He has volumes of information as well as state of the art data software for the mining industry. He also lists some mining claims that he makes available to the public. Nice guy too!

GPAA Anchorage Chapter: This is Alaska's only functioning GPAA chapter. Their website is maintained by Brian Berkhan, who does a great job with it. Come in and find out all the latest events going on, in and around Anchorage.

Arctic Gold Website This is an awesome website that details a working mine in Alaska's Arctic regions. The sheer number of large nuggets is astounding. You can also buy gold through this website. The pictures will make your jaw drop.

Iron Fire Publications: This is Rich Lampright's premier resource website. Many books are listed for the prospector who needs to know where to go. A first class site with loads of information. This is an amazing resource for prospectors.

40 Mile River Dredge Study EPA: This is an official document put out by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency, relating to studies on the Forty Mile River. The studies show "de-minimus" impact from dredging activities.

The Golden Optimist: Leonard Leeper's website is one of the oldest, most comprehensive on the net. He is a long-time Colorado gold prospector. His site details many of his adventures as well as having some great mining pictures. Leonard is a great guy and always willing to help.

Gold Dredger.com: This is Leonard's message boards, they are very popular and informative. A great bunch of people come here to ask questions and relate their experiences. He also hosts the Dredge Earth First message boards.

Tom Ashworth's Prospector Cache: Tom Ashworth is a professional gold dredger and prospector. He is located in Oregon and has an extensive website dealing with gold prospecting. Tom is a nice guy, always ready to help someone.

Tom Ashworth Message Boards: Tom's message boards are very popular among gold prospectors everywhere. Many of the members are long time prospectors, there is a wealth of information on Tom's forums. He is very active on his forums and always willing to help out.

Rockhouders. com: An excellent website for the serious rock-hounder. Excellent resources throughout the site. Stop in and see what they have to offer. The site is very well done and features mineral collection of all kinds. They have a website award program that is second to none.

U.S. Bureau Of Land Management: Everyone should know what is here. This is the official website for the Federal Bureau of Land management. Here you can find land status as well as resource links dealing with mining on federal lands.

The New 49er's: Dave McCracken has completely revived the New 49er's prospecting club. Come and see the new mining claims that they have just acquired along the Salmon River. This is a website that can put you into the gold.

The New 49er's Message Boards: This is the official meeting place for New 49er's members as well as anyone interesting in joining the premier mining club in California. Got questions about the club or the area? We can answer them. 400 members and growing.

 Yank - Aussie Prospector's Forum: G.M. "Doc" Lousignont hosts this very popular gold prospecting forum. Posts from Australia as well as all over the world make this a good resource, and nice place to hang out. Lots of experienced detectorists here, stop in and say "hi".

Treasure Net: This is the world-wide web's original gold and metal detecting forums. Marc Austin has put together one of the best formats for message forums that exist. Treasure Net has been here from the beginning and remains today.

Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game: Here you can view current trapping regulations and find links to trapping resources.

Susie's Homestead Cafe: If you trap in the Chena Hot Springs Road area, this is the place to get a great meal fit for a hungry trapper. This is also home to Valley Center Store, gas, groceries, snacks, videos. We have it all, stop in and say "hi".

Great White North Fur Company: We own and operate Great White North Fur Company in Fairbanks (Fox) and always have plenty of tanned fur and trapping supplies on hand. We are also Alaska licensed fur dealers. Ace and Cat run the annual fur auction in March during the North American Sled Dog Championships for ATA.

National Trappers Association: This is the website of the official trappers voice of North America.

Alaska Trapping Forum: This is the place to go for trapping information in and for Alaska. Members from all over the state lend their expertise in answering questions and helping out in any way they can. Come on in!

Alaska Trappers Assoc: This is the official website of Alaska trappers. The Alaska Trappers Assoc. is the trappers voice. Membership forms on the site and resource links for every trapping need.
